Creating strategies to address your needs
We help to clarify your challenge or problem, and think strategically about how that need can be addressed – how does the timing of audience research fit with your decision-making? would it be better to use on-site research or research in the community? would it be better to use a qualitative approach or a quantitative one, or will both be needed? what audiences should you focus on?
Selecting & adapting appropriate research methods
Having some guidance from an overall strategy, we can recommend one or more specific methods from over a dozen choices; then, we anticipate what kind of data the methods will produce, and how those data will be analyzed to yield outcomes.
Guiding the logistics of implementing research methods
Choosing an overall approach and method(s) doesn’t guarantee that the research will be conducted with sufficient quality; there are numerous details that can create pitfalls. We “know the ropes” of implementing sampling plans, interviewer training, observer reliability, multiple entrances, and other factors.
Thoroughly analyzing the data
When you’ve invested the time, effort, and money in research, we want to get as much value as possible from the data; basic tabulations and coding are followed by advanced analysis, segmentations, and patterns of results to assess your goals
Interpreting and presenting the findings
Have you had any research reports that were hard to understand? We take care to summarize and interpret the results at three levels (whole project, topic, & specific question or measure), and to present a clear report with insightful findings that can be used for team/institutional discussion, or for fundraising, or for a respectable reporting to a funding source.
